Dig Video

Problem: Dig Video – “Dig” is short for digital – was a start-up interactive music video site. They needed an identity and branding that could be adapted for all their different music genre “channels” as well as for future marketing and film production ventures.

Solution: Design a strong, hip and flexible logo that would also work as a corporate mark.

The client insisted that the initial logo exploration (above) be shown in color.

One of the comps was deemed to have potential if it didn’t look hip-hop specific. After further exploration of the dot of the “i” character, the final included headphones implying that the viewer was a DJ and therefore interactive. The final primary logo is shown with logos for future corporate ventures.
